A victory for OKEA and the entire industry
The measures for the oil and gas industry, now approved by the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget), represents a victory for OKEA, for equal treatment of companies operating on the Norwegian shelf, and for the entire industry. It constitutes an important contribution to increasing activity in the industry which is the objective of the Storting’s temporary changes to the taxation system for oil and gas companies.
Draugen continues to be the driving force
Draugen is undoubtedly the most important driving force in OKEA. The field produces approximately 20,000 barrels of oil and gas every day. Even in light of low oil prices and the coronavirus crisis, production is going at full speed.
OKEA ASA – first quarter results 2020
OKEA delivered yet another quarter with no serious incidents nor leaks for its operated asset, Draugen. Strong operational performance combined with high production regularity resulted in a total net production of 19 099 (19 498) boepd in the quarter.

OKEA ASA (“OKEA” or the “company”) has today published the Annual Report for 2019, the 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report and the Annual Statement of Reserves and Resources for 2019.
OKEA ASA fourth quarter results
The fourth quarter marks OKEA’s first year as a production operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). 2019 was a year with strong operational performance and a total net production of 18 663 boepd, high production regularity, safe and efficient completion of the first operated drilling campaign, zero serious safety incidents and tangible results from projects aiming to further realise Draugen’s potential.

Five licences awarded to OKEA in APA 2019
OKEA ASA has been awarded 5 new licences on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy under the Award in Pre-Defined Areas (APA) for 2019, strengthening the company’s position around the important Draugen and Grevling production and development hubs in the Norwegian Sea and North Sea, respectively.
